We're still here in Kiev. We haven't received a date for our second appointment, but hopefully that will be on Monday or Tuesday. We don't really have a whole lot to report - just hanging out, sightseeing/walking, and sleeping.
Pleas continue to pray for us - we are feeling homesick and missing our dogs. We'll post when we have news...

Staci and Damon....
Enjoy your time in Kyiv! Though you really miss home and your families... take this time to enjoy all that Kyiv has to offer! Take tons of pictures and enjoy it all... though you are not there for a honeymoon - treat yourselves like you are!
My thoughts and prayers are with you for getting a speedy 2nd appt and that it goes well!
Best wishes!
Amy
Hang in there! We'll be praying for a speedy appointment date.
Thanks for posting an update. Lots of us are praying for you back here at home!
Take advantage of your time to explore Kiev. We found that we had very little time on our way out of the country, plus it would've been harder with our daughter. Keep catching up on sleep too. You'll be glad you did as you get busier!
At least the weather is nice :) For now, enjoy Kyiv. It's such a beautiful city, and we wish we'd had more time there. We hope to go back for a visit next year.
Have you tried O'Pana's? Nice Ukrainian fare, catered more to the tourist. It's right next to Shevchenko Park (which I'm sure is beautiful this time of year) and across from the university's big red building.
Another fave for us was the Potato House - there is one just down from the Golden Gate, going towards Kreschatyk. They have English menu & the food is yummy & affordable.
We also bought 2 cool books from a guy out in front of St. Michaels. They were in English, one about Kyiv & one about Ukraine with great photos. We thought they'd be nice keepsakes for William. (Unfortunately, he spilled milk ALL OVER the coffee table a few weeks ago, so our cool books are with us no more!)
Praying that you hear something very soon!!
Hope you get some news soon on your next date. Great to see you are having a good time and enjoying the city.

The waiting is tough! Don’t let it get you down. You are there for a reason and will find what you are looking for! There is almost always a reason for the wait. Try and enjoy yourselves as much a possible now. When you come back through Kiev, chances are you will be very busy and not get to do much sightseeing or souvenir shopping!
The waiting is the hardest, and in another country! If you get a chance, go see the Hillsong Kyiv church on Sunday they have services every two hours and have headsets to hear everything in English. They are the next to the Opera house (same side of street, one block up the hill towards the Golden Gate) Email us if you would like more American connections whie you wait!
Hang in there - having american friends makes the time pass so much faster. I hope you get your 2nd appt soon! It will be so worth it in the end -
When we arrived in Kiev we found they'd messed up our appt date - so we sat around for 10 days waiting for appt. And when we met our daughter -we found out that she had been in Italy on hosting program and had only been back for a few days. If we had appt when we thought we were supposed to - we would have missed our child. God's timing isn't ours - which sometimes stinks, especially when you're home sick!
Hang in there and have as much fun as you can!
I am so excited for both of you! I just know in my heart that tomorrow will be a very special day for all of us!
Love you both!
